Counselling & Support

This is an essential component of the services we provide at Queensland Fertility Group, and it is usually free to our patients. For us, counselling is all about support and information process, and is in no way part of any assessment.

Each of our clinics has at least one counsellor, who is either a psychologist or social worker with extensive experience as well as specialist Reproductive Medicine Counselling qualifications. All are members of the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA), and of the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA).

They are here to discuss with you any aspect of infertility and the associated treatments. They can also provide help and support coping with the stresses, grief, and anxiety that are often associated with infertility, diagnosis, and treatment – including pregnancy loss. Counsellors can discuss the options available to you for treatment as recommended by your doctor, including the use of donors to help you achieve pregnancy.

Using counselling is a positive step when you are struggling to conceive, trying to understand your treatment options, and dealing with the outcomes. To make an appointment with a counsellor, please phone your nearest Queensland Fertility Group clinic.
