Miriam migrated to Australia with her family from Hong Kong when she was 7 years old. She graduated from medicine from the University of Queensland in 1991 and then trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in various hospitals in Queensland, including Gold Coast, the Mater Mothers’, QEII, Logan and Caboolture with her final years’ training in King Edward Hospital, Perth.
After gaining skills in advanced laparoscopic surgery and assisted reproductive technology (ART), Miriam continued working in King Edward Hospital as a Visiting Medical Officer and began private practice.
She returned to the Gold Coast in 2005 to be closer to her family and opened her private practice. She mainly sees patients for general gynaecology, with a special interest in vulvovaginal disease, urinary incontinence, laparoscopic surgery and assisted reproductive therapy.
Miriam also speaks fluent Cantonese.
Her patients appreciate her honesty and support, and her commitment to the best possible outcome and after-care follow up.
