Encouragement and expertise for the most challenging issues
Andrew followed his father into an obstetrics and gynaecology specialty, and has been in private practice on the Gold Coast since 1993.
He trained in south-east Queensland at the Mater Mothers' Hospital, Royal Women's Hospital, Ipswich Hospital and Gold Coast Hospital, before spending a year as a lecturer and senior registrar in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Liverpool, UK.
In 2000, Andrew formed Fertility Gold Coast with his colleagues, and in August 2011, they became part of Queensland Fertility Group Gold Coast. Andrew specialises in obstetric care, infertility, all aspects of IVF treatment and hysteroscopic laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.
He has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics and antenatal care, and carries out many day surgery treatments, including endometrial ablations and resections and Essure tubal occlusions. His patients appreciate his support throughout their journey to parenthood, especially during high-risk pregnancies. His proactive, caring and professional manner is very reassuring.
As the chairman of the Pindara Day Procedure Centre, which he co-founded, and the deputy chairman of the Pindara Medical Board, Andrew has responsibility for many of the clinical aspects of medical and surgical care at the hospital and the day surgery. Patient safety and good quality clinical expertise is an essential element of Andrew's care and practice.
