Queensland Fertility Group’s Mackay clinic is a permanent local unit, fully accredited by the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC) and assisting couples in all areas of infertility, gynaecology and obstetrics.
Our clinic was founded in 1987, was the world’s first satellite IVF clinic and is now a full-time fertility clinic.

Dr Lance Herron is the Medical Director at our main Mackay clinic.
Local nurse coordinators, a local scientist and counsellor, and local administrative staff complete the team, which draws on the full expertise and back-up of Queensland Fertility Group’s state-wide network of clinics.
Day surgery procedures are performed at the adjacent Mackay Specialist Day Hospital.
The clinic is open Monday to Thursday from 8.30am until 5pm, and on Fridays from 8.30am until 3pm.
